Uniquely us.

Adding our own spin to our wedding theme we wanted to incorporate one of our shared fandoms together, Pokémon. Having 9 tables total, we decided to have each table represent a different region. With the center pieces being a custom Pokéball Terrarium. Later in the evening, these centerpieces we’re played for via a trivia game based on how much guests knew about Anne and myself. Needless to say, they were a hit.

Start of something new.

Walking into that hall for the first time as a married couple was a surreal experience. All eyes were on us, as the room filled with cheer and applause, with the warmest smiles and genuine celebration. Our hearts could just burst from it alone. That state of shock and awe never really leaves you. And it’s one of the many moments that made our wedding feel as if it were only a fairytale.

As the night carried on, it took a second for everything to set in. That our guests didn’t just come to share the moment with us. They also came to share a piece of their heart and soul that day, and for that we were incredibly humbled by it (with some definitely sharing more than others).

And that’s when we realized, that a marriage wasn’t just a bond between Anne and myself, but is also shared with everyone that’s intertwined in our lives. Which symbolizes the start of something entirely new.

More than a dance.

It’s easy to write things off as just silly, unnecessary, or even “extra”. That was the case about doing a father-daughter, mother-son, and money dance. In essence, they are symbolic of things in their own right. And at first, we had kept them in for the sake of others. However as we came to realize, these meant an even greater deal for both Anne and I. We just didn’t know it yet. Funny enough, they became memories we could never trade for anything in the world.

Thank you!

Can’t wait to see where this road takes us.
